Construction Observation Professional

Our work spans several market sectors and includes municipal, public utility, county, state, federal, school board, and private sector projects.
We are currently seeking a Full Time Construction Inspection Professional. This is a great opportunity for an individual to be part of a team on the construction observation of high-profile urban construction projects. A company vehicle or mileage reimbursement will be supplied for commuting to and from the job site for specific projects.
The ideal candidate should have field experience. Level will be determined based on years of construction related experience.
Qualifications
Field experience, including roadway and utility installation. The experience should include paving, concrete work, drainage installation, lighting, guiderail and striping. Experience in both roadway reconstruction projects and resurfacing projects is preferred.
Maintenance and protection of traffic for day and nighttime operations.
Watermain and water service experience a plus.
Ability to track and calculate quantities.
Valid Driver’s license.
NICET Certification preferred
Strong PC Skills, in Microsoft Office.
Strong time management and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills.
Knowledge of NJDOT Roadway Specifications and MasterSpec
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and clients.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities. Highly organized.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
Construction observation, field reports, and tracking quantities
To perform quality control construction observations for various utility and roadway construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, watermains and services, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety.
Able to read contract documents and construction plans.
Responsible for field construction observation monitoring/tracking of construction sequencing, cost, scheduling and performance decisions.
To perform proper document control, quality assurance documentation and construction project records.
Completes assignments on time and on budget.
